Luiza is 1 Month Old

Luiza is 1 month old today!!! Yes, she is just a month old and already brought so much happiness to our life. She is our sweet little princess.
I now have a prince and a princess at my house!!!!
Lucas love singing Happy Birthday. He actually has a new version of the song. It is a mix of the Brazillian and American way to sing it. It goes like this:
"Parabens to you, Parabens to you...."
I baked a delicious Corn Coffee Cake today and we sang his version to Luiza today.
So, Parabens to you my Princess!!!!

Little Update of My New Life

I think I am doing great with my two kids, a lot better than I was expecting. Before Luiza was born, I heard from so many people how hard it was to have a second baby that I was waiting for the worse, and they were wrong ( at least for the first 3 weeks and a half). I don't want to say much, it can bring us some bad luck, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.
Luiza is a great baby. She is sleeping well, eating well, doing great. Having a little of a reflux now that is very uncomfortable for her, but other than that, she is just sweet as she can be.
Lucas is now getting better. The first week was pretty tough for him and for us too. He was doing anything to call our attention and most of the time, it was something that he should not be doing. Now he is back to be our cute, smart and adorable little boy.
I have been out and about with those two, going to parks, lots of Halloween festival, trick or treating.....
I know I should be resting, but when you have a 2 years old and I newborn, you don't have time to rest, especially when you don't have family around.

So, here is a picture of MY LIFE for you guys to see.

Luiza is here!!!

Luiza  is here. She was born on October 5th, at 2:53 pm with 7 lbs and 4 oz, 21 1/4 inches. We are so proud of our little girl and our little boy that now is the best big brother in the world.
Lucas went to the hospital to meet Luiza on the same day that she was born. I will never forget his face when he saw her. He wanted to hold her, kiss her. His eyes were shinning and I could not stop crying. Holding both of my kids at the same time for the first time was the most amazing feeling.

Dad is in love with his little girl.
Here are some pictures of our little princess.

Luiza's room

We are almost there and Luiza's room is almost ready for her. Last week, while my brother and sister in law were here, we assembled the crib and dresser. My sister in law washed Luiza’s bedding and clothes, and arranged everything for me on the crib and closet.
Luiza already has more clothes than me, my husband and Lucas together.
I got all her bedding in Brazil while visiting our family last month.
We are not done yet, this weekend my husband will hang some shelves on the wall, and I am still shopping for a sleep sofa, or a day bed, or maybe just a chair for her room.
Here are some pictures of her room.

Lucas' Birthday Party

We celebrated Lucas 2nd Birthday Party in Brazil with our family and friends there. We had a great time. The party was beautiful, and Lucas had so much fun. Watching him having fun with his friends and family was great.
The theme of his party was Nemo, he loves Nemo. I don’t know how many times we watched Finding Nemo here in my house.
We had a lot of toys for the kids to play, a play area with play dough, legos, crafts,  a bouncer, swing….  And the best of all, a special Mini Bar for the kids with juice, hot dogs, mini pizzas, Brazilian cheese bread..hummmm!!!
For the big kids, I meant the big ones like mom and dad, we had a lot of goodies too that I prefer not to even remember because if I do so I will want to go back to have it all again. You know, being pregnant and talking about food sometimes is not the best thing to do, it can be a problem, LOL.
So, the most important part was that Lucas had a blast. He got a guitar as a gift from Pedro, his godfather. After singing Happy Birthday and him blowing the candle he jumped on top of the table with his guitar and put up a show for everyone. It was so cute!!! He loves music.
Here are some pictures so I can share this happy moment with you guys.

Those are the Brazilian Deserts that are very popular in every kids party. They are delicious!!!

Happy Birthday Lucas!!!

I am back!!!

After a long and deserved vacation I AM BACK and I miss you all. I am back with a lot of news to share with you guys.
I, my husband and Lucas went to Brazil to visit our families and to be honest with you; we almost did not come back, LOL.
We all had a great time there, especially Lucas. He had a blast playing with his cousins, being spoiled by grandparents, uncles and aunts. We had a little bit of everything in Brazil. A few sunny days at the beach, in the city, some fun days at the farm.... Was great to watch him interacting with everyone there, seeing a lot of new things, having new experiences that he will for sure always remember, and he does. He has a great memory.
So, he are some pictures of Lucas in Brazil!!!

Handmade Popsicles

Am I the only one that is suffering with this hot hot weather??? I know, I am pregnant, and I am always hot, but it is away to hot, and I love it!!! LOL
I can not complain, I really like summer time, it is fun, lots of things to do outside....
SO, today I decided to make some popsicles for Lucas and for me of course. I found this recipe at Bakerella and what I love about it the most is that you can do it with any fruit that you have in your house, it is easy and delicious. You need to try it too!!!

I really think that it will look great at the hospital door when I have my baby girl and then I can bring it back home and place it at her nursery. I am decorating everything in pink, white, green and a little of purple. ( at least in my mind I am doing it, because I did not start putting my plans in action yet, but I will, soon!!!)
Go to A Glimpse Inside and check this great, fun and easy tutorial for you to do!!!

Baby Shower and more

I am back!!!!
There is a lot going on in my life right now and that is why I am out. I am going crazy with all the things that I want to get done at the same time, but that is the way I am, and if I didn’t have all those things to do, I would create some. I am nonstop, just like my grandmother.
My husband and I are waiting for some important papers to arrive on the mail at any time, so we could go to Brazil to visit our families. Without this paper we can’t go, and because we don’t know when we are getting it, we can‘t make any plans, we can’t buy our tickets, we are stuck here!!!
So, since we are here, why not get some things done here right?! That is what we are trying to do. We are almost finishing our family/playroom upstairs, and I am very excited with the way it is turning out. Like I had promise before, when we finish I will post some before and after pictures here.
Last week I had the most beautiful baby shower ever!!! My friends organized it for me and it turned out so cute!!!

Regina was in charge of the decoration. She is amazing. She should be working as a party planner. She made some pop Cakes and decorates it like flowers in pink, purple and green. It turned out so cute!!!
My Brazilian friends were in charge of the great food and games. They painted my face every time I did not guess one of the gifts and let me tell you, because you will never see it, I ended up with a mustache, beard, and some tattoos all over my face. We had fun!!!
Here are some pictures of the shower!!! A especial thank you to my special friends!!!!
