Coffee Filter Wreath Tutorial

Craft time!!!! I am looking for things to decorate my nursery and I just found this Coffee Filter Wreath at A Glimpse Inside. I really think that it will look great at the hospital door when I have my baby girl and then I can bring it back home and place it at her nursery. I am decorating everything in pink, white, green and a little of purple. ( at least in my mind I am doing it, because I did not start putting my plans in action yet, but I will, soon!!!)
Go to A Glimpse Inside and check this great, fun and easy tutorial for you to do!!!

ColorMeHouse Review

If you are following me for a few months already you probably noticed already that I am always looking for activities that promote creativity, and that is why I am really excited about introducing you guys to ColorMeHouse.
ColorMeHouse is a company founded by April McCray, a mom inspired by her passion for creativity. After years of her husband’s tales of childhood and memories of building forts of cardboard boxes as a child, April decided to create ColorMeHouse. ColorMeHouse was created to help children use their imaginations and be creative.
ColorMeHouse features a house and a rocket made of recyclable, eco-friendly cardboard made in the USA. ColorMeHouse is a great way to help kids think inside and outside of the box!!!
I got a ColorMeHouse rocket to play with Lucas, but to be honest with you; I am saving it for him to play in a few months. I think he will love it. I love the idea of this product and the quality of it too.
ColorMeHouse is offering a $10 discount to all Funplayroom readers. Just use the code: "rocketblast" at checkout. Visit their website to learn more about those fun ColorMeHouse!!!

Nursing Cover

I am not sure if I just did not know about it or if it is kind of  new thing, but when Lucas was born I did not have one of those and I would probably use it a lot if I had since I breastfed him for 10 months.
I found here at Diary of a Quilter a tutorial on how to make your own Nursing Cover. Check it out!!! It is pretty easy to make one!!!

Development of Drawing - Binder Project

I finally found some time to do Lucas' Arts Binder. It was a pretty easy project to make and pretty fast to finish too.
Here are all the materials that I used:

Fabric
Paper Letters
Hot Glue
Quilt Batting
I got everything at Hobby Lobby, but you can also find it at Michaels, Wal Mart...
First I covered the binder with my quilt batting just to give it a soft good looking. I used the hot glue to glue it to my binder. Then I covered it with my fabric. For a better finish, I used some green ribbon on the edge of the fabric.
After that I just decorated it the way I wanted. I wrote Lucas' name on it, and add some pictures and that was it!! Project done!!
Like I told you guys before, I am keeping Lucas' drawings on this binder. It is a great way to keep a track of his development and also a great Memory Book for him in the future!!!

Easter Bunny Craft

crafts, easter

I was searching online for some Easter craft ideas to make with Lucas and I found those cute little bunnies that I loved.  I am not very talented but it looks like I can make it. Why not!?!?  LOL (stop laughing, I will try ok!).
crafts, easter

I think those bunnies will be great to decorate your house, your table for an Easter brunch with families and kids, and a great family fun activity too. I am also thinking about using some of those bunnies to display on top of the table and/or on top of each one of my guess plates too. I think it will look adorable and everyone will love it, can’t wait to put my hands on it!!!

Pine Wreath

crafts

I got this idea at ucreate blog. Go there if you have a chance and check all the great stuff they have there and  make sure to tell them that you found then trough my blog.

crafts

I love making some crafts, it is so relax. Making this pine wreath was even better than any other craft that I had ever made in my life because I had Lucas and my husband helping me. We start with a early family walk at the lake to collect some pines. We had a great time walking, talking, singing and playing with 3 border collies.

When back home, I started to work on my project. My one hour project ended up been a one day long project and I love it.

I love  how it turned out in the end. Here is a pictures of it.  If you want to make one for yourself, ( and I assure you can do it), go to ucreate page and follow her steps.

Gift Can

crafts

I created a simple gift using pictures to give to family and friends. To make this "gift in a can", all you will need is an empty can, some paper, scissor, glue, tape, bag, and a nice picture. I used a picture that I took of Lucas when he was around 6 months old, and I love the expression on his eyes in this picture. Here are the instructions: measure the paper around your can, cut it and glue in your can. Cut the picture round like a Christmas Ornament and use some paper as a frame for it. You can write anything you want in your picture frame. Glue your picture in your can, fill your bag with your homemade cookies and that is it!!! Simple, easy and very cute!!!
